We have a fully qualified manager and a talented team of day and night staff all round the clock. Our caring and competent group of staff will be responsible for delivering and supporting your loved ones. Quality of life, comfort and care is our central focus.

DEMENTIA SPECIALISTS​
We have specialised in Dementia care for over 30 years. with a broad range of clients some with and some without Dementia. All our staff are fully trained in Dementia Care.
There are many difficulties associated with dementia such as; memory loss, confusion, aggression and incontinence. We understand that our dementia residents feel that it is harder to live their normal lives .
Our carers at Acacia Lodge will help your loved one to
feel safe, comfortable and fulfilled within their capacity.
As symptoms of dementia progress we understand how important it is to maintain a stable and regular routine which remind them of their former lives.
Having regular carers and seeing familiar faces helps reassure them and we provide the highest quality of
care to meet their needs. Our activities include physical movement and memory activities to help stimulate their minds and bodies.

YOUR KEYWORKERS ROLE
Your key worked is assigned to you so you know your unique needs and preferences. Each resident is given a person centred-care plan to address all their individual needs. We establish and continuously review all residents’ personal care plans. We will strive to help carers and those with care needs to make their own decisions whenever possible and appropriate, and to support them in making choices and controlling their own lives.
Care workers will be trained and are required to:

recognise and respect the diversity, values and human rights of service users

respect the privacy, dignity and independence of service users

provide person-centred care as documented in service users personal care plan

ensure intimate personal care and support needs are met in an environment that provides privacy for the person concerned

enable those with care needs to carry out tasks / activities for themselves wherever possible, rather than increasing dependence by doing things for them.
